"MILAN - The ladies are lined up and getting ready for their final rehearsal before the real Jo no Fui show at Milan Fashion Week Fall 2011. Head designer Alessia Giacobino says she drew inspiration from her vintage archives because she's celebrating the 10th anniversary of her brand this year! "I looked back at how I approached the job. I was an architect...In fact, some of my clients who owned boutiques, by chance, asked me to design some clothes for them," she says, "At first my resources were the archives of vintage garments, mostly sixties and seventies style belonging to my grandmother and mother." Fabrcis include inspirations from the sixties and seventies, especially heavy wool crepe. Furs and embellishments are also widely seen."
